Ok, around the time of my last update, I began getting a headache.  Now, I've been getting them almost daily for months now, and that's not cool, but I haven't been to a doctor about it, because they would just send me to a neurologist who would send me for tests, and it would be one big expensive mess that would accomplish nothing at all.  Anyway, this headache started around 5 AM Wednesday.  And got worse.  A lot worse.  Turned into a migraine from hell.  And nothing helped it.  Usually I start out with Advil or Motrin before moving on to prescription migraine medication, these days, Treximet.  I've used several in the past.  Well, I was so bad off Thursday, Jen kept me home from work because I couldn't see to drive.  I was completely incapacitated.  My migraine lasted over 50 straight hours!!!  Finally, this morning, I feel like I'm pretty much back to normal -- for the time being, anyway.  What a hassle.  And my parents, rather than throwing sympathy at me, wanted me to determine what the cause was.  Like I f***ing knew!  If I knew that, then maybe I could do something about it.  Duh!  They mean well though.  I guess that's it for now.  There's more I could write about, like the new floors in our house or something like that, but I'll save it for another time.  Cheers!

Soup for You (hope you feel better...)

I'm glad you're feeling better.  50 hours is too long to be in so much pain; that must have been miserable.

In your parents' defense, knowing what causes them (or at least guessing) can be a big help in preventing them next time.  I know for myself anyway, that my system is very sensitive to lack of sleep, caffeine (too much or too little), etc.

Take care of yourself!

My son used to get 2-3 migraines a week (the works - impaired vision, throwing up etc etc) until we took him to an accupuncturist... now he gets maybe 2-3 a year if that.

@gottobereal64 -

Well, I used to get migraines many years ago from certain foods, but as I have avoided most of those foods all these years, I really can't pin down what it might be, other than stress.

@jaded_maudlin -

Thanks! Haven't seen you around here to often lately. You OK?

@light_and_fluffy -

Jen wants me to go to acupuncture. It helped her with her headaches. It's just that it's kind of expensive.... Of course, missing work doesn't help, so maybe it's worth the investment, eh? Thanks!
